Plan a visit!
If it’s your first time at CBC, welcome! You are very important to us and we are glad you chose to stop in. We know though, as a guest, you may have several questions on what to expect.
Here is some basic info on what to expect.
Where do I go when I get there?
Come right in our front door! You will be greeted and shown where to check in your kids and where our morning refreshments are!
If you have kids - Infants through 5th grade, we have a special check in spot for them. All kids infants through 5th grade can be checked in at the welcome desk right inside the front doors. Kids ages 0-36 months have the option to be dropped off in the nursery for the entire length of the service, but it is not required. Otherwise Pre-K through 5th grade (after being checked in) will join you in the worship service and will be dismissed immediately after the first set of worship songs and before the message. We believe worshiping as a family is important, and at CBC we love families and being able to include kids in our worship service and experience.
After being dismissed, they will enjoy the remainder of the hour in our Family Life Center with bible based activities and they will hear about Jesus on their level! After the service, the kids will be brought back into the main building for you to meet up with them and we make sure your kids are taken directly to you.
When should I arrive?
Our service starts at 10:00. We recommend arriving around 9:45 if you have kids. This allows you enough time to check in your kids, enjoy some refreshments, stop by our welcome desk, and find a comfortable seat for the service.
If you are interested, we do also offer a Diving Deeper bible study that starts at 9:00. This takes place in our main building and is a great opportunity to dive a little deeper into the scriptures, ask questions, and learn. The lessons are taught by a rotating group of teachers and cover a wide variety of topics.
What do you offer for my kids?
Cornerstone’s children’s ministry is staffed with caring volunteers ready to welcome your kids and provide a safe, fun environment for guiding them toward their early steps in faith. All our adult volunteers have completed background check, and first aid trained volunteers are close by.
Infants through toddlers have separate nurseries with a variety of interesting things to see and do appropriate for their age. These kids enjoy being together in the same building as the adult worship service. Your child will be checked in with their name, your name, and a cell number in case you are needed during the service.
Pre-K, and 3rd through 5th grade kids will be checked in at the welcome desk and join you for the first part of the service. After being dismissed before the message, age appropriate classes are available filled with Bible based hands-on activities, music, and videos. We believe in providing a variety of learning style opportunities each week so that every child will be glad they came and want to return to take next steps on their own journey of faith.
How long is the service?
Our service starts right at 10:00 and can typically go between an hour and an hour and fifteen minutes. We usually open the service with announcements, sing worship songs with the band, then the speaker preaches. We then conclude with one more song.
We do not take up an offering during our service. We have several ways for people to give, and we think giving is important, we just believe it is an act of worship between you and God. We have lock boxes at the back of the chapel where you can securely place your cash or check, and we have online giving option where you can give as well.
